- Sharon Amer was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She pursued a career in waterfront and commercial real-estate. Travel has always been a passion and she has visited such places as France, Spain, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, Costa Rica, Cuba, and various other destinations, throughout Canada and the United States and the Caribbean. Sharon is a self taught artist and has been painting since she was a teenager at the family cottage near Algonquin Park. Sharon paints in watercolour, acrylic and oil. Her paintings depict a wide range of wildlife, flora, landscape, and dreamscape. Her inspiration comes from the natural world and also her imaginary world. Sharon is publishing her limited edition Giclee’s in Toronto. Her work is currently in private collections in Whistler, B.C., SanBernadino, California, SanFelipe, Mexico to name a few. Sharon resides and paints in the pre-Cambrian shield in Ontario.
